10 ways to help save the environment

1. Recycle* and, if possible, reuse (that means using both sides of that piece of paper)!

2. Stop using paper bags to carry your lunch. Instead, try a wrap matt or a lunch box.

3. Drink from reusable water bottles.

4. Unplug your electronics (pencil sharpeners, cell phone and computer chargers, small kitchen appliances, etc.) while they’re not in use.

5. Turn off the lights when you leave a room.

6. Give your scrap paper to the art teachers to use.

7. Carpool or ride your bike to school!

8. Eat locally grown foods; this reduces air pollution and supports the local farmers.

9. Double-side your copies (ask one of the librarians for help if you need it).

10. Buy something from E.C.O. to help support your school and community.
